What an incredible fighter this man was. Hagler, who changed his first name to ‘Marvelous’ in 1982, was knocked down just once in 67 professional bouts. Combined with a staggering 52 of his wins accomplished by way of knockouts, Hagler solidified his legendary status in the boxing world in the 1980s.  He was a man of honour and a man of his word, and he performed in the ring with unparalleled determination.
