After winning the gold medal at the 1968 Mexico Olympics, George Foreman turned pro in 1969 and wasted little time defeating the top opposition. His angry character took him all the way to the Heavweight Championship – but it also cost him his title too. The hard-punching Foreman met heavyweight king Joe Frazier on January 22, 1973 and dispatched the champion in just two devastating rounds. He defended his title successfully twice before losing the title to former champion Muhammad Ali in "The Rumble in the Jungle" on October 30, 1974.
