Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton rose from the Hattersley council estate in Hyde to become a two-weight world boxing champion. His clashes with Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao saw thousands follow him to Las Vegas, but his IBF light-welterweight title victory against Kostya Tszyu in Manchester in 2005 was his greatest night. Battles with alcohol and depression followed Hatton's defeat by Pacquiao in 2009.
